PLEASE NOTE:  All OTS users who are still using OTS Version 1 MUST upgrade to OTS Version 2 by the end of MAY 2007 at latest.

SAFEX is currently implementing new software as part of the larger JSE Project Orion.  Consequently, Estuary Solutions has also had to make changes and Version 1 of the OTS will not be compatible with the new SAFEX system.

How to upgrade:

Go to the 'Downloads' section on http://www.EstuarySolutions.com and select 'OTS Version 2'.  Click on the 'Download' button at bottom right.

You may be prompted to download and install the Microsoft Dotnet Framework 2 first - if necessary, do this first and then return to the downloads page and download the OTS.

Note that it is not necessary to uninstall OTS Version 1 before installing Version 2 - the two versions can co-exist and run simultaneously (provided your broker has allowed you more than one simultaneous login).  For users new to Version 2 it may be useful to run both versions for a while to adjust.

Which version am I running?

If you are unsure of your OTS version, click on 'Help' and then 'About' on your OTS menu.  The version number will appear on the pop-up form.  Look at the number before the decimal point (eg 1.20050909 or 2.20070315).  This number is the OTS major version number.  If the number is a 1, then you must upgrade to version 2.

Getting started on OTS Version 2:

Once Version 2 is installed, please take the time to view the demonstration videos on http://www.EstuarySolutions.com (click on the 'Demonstrations' link at the bottom left of the web site).  Also, on the OTS menu, click on 'Help' and then 'Contents' to view the OTS help file - the first time the help file is accessed it may take a few minutes to download.  Thereafter the help file will be instantly available.
